Mermaids, beautiful creatures that live in the sea. They possess the torso of a woman & the tail of a fish, although without scales. Many believed that they were simply a sailor’s fantasy, something they wanted through lust after floating on the water for many months. However, their existence is nothing short of the truth. Mermaids, sexy universal symbols for beauty & mystery, swim underneath the water in either families or by themselves & rarely make themselves known.

The existence of mermen was never true, on the other hand. They were never spotted for a simple reason: they didn’t exist. Nevertheless, humans’ let their imagination run wind & thus, the fictional mermen were born.

In other to keep their species alive, mermaids had to reproduce with human males. Sirens, especially, were known to grab for their mates in order to bear children before killing them. However, not every mermaid is so brutal. In actuality, the vast majority of them have to fall in love before they can reproduce with the humans. Which, most of the time, doesn’t prove to be at all that difficult considering how curious the human race is.

Personality: Brennan is the type of guy that most girls would fan over, considering his good-looks & the way he goes about to seduce a lady. However, only his closest friends know that he has those moments were he spazzes out… quite frequently. He’s also very playful & his warmhearted charms are usually too hard to resist.
Bio: Although he was born in the country of Mexico, Brennan moved with his family to the Florida shortly after being born. In turn, all of his Spanish was taught by his nannies & siblings. His parents, both high-stature business people, rarely showed their faces at home for more than a few hours at a time. He understood why, so he tried not to let it bother him & be strong for his two sisters. Although he was the middle child & he had an older sister that beat him by 2 years, he was still considered the man of the house. & as he grew up, he was the one that took care of everyone that lived under “his roof.” Because of all that, he realizes that he has really mature moments as well as really childish ones (considering that his childhood moments were cut short by emotional responsibilities). His family knows those facts as well & easily learned to accept them simply because of what he had to carry on his shoulders.

Bio: After being born in England, Cordelia spent most of her current years swimming underneath its seas. She was the only daughter of a famous writer, her father, & a healer. They were an odd family, of course, but they got along well; her father, being a very busy man, couldn’t be around his mythical daughter as much as he’d wanted to, but he often made up for it by giving her a cute trinket. A day after turning ten years old, Cordelia’s mother decided that it was time to part. She took her daughter to Atlantis, saying that she needed to get in touch with her roots. &, frankly, everything seemed fine until one night when Cordelia’s mother disappeared. As it turned out, when her mother said that it was time to part ways, she wasn’t talking about her husband but about her daughter.

Bio: The child of divorce at age 16, William has a slightly uncomfortable attitude towards his father. During the last stage of his high school years, William increased his academic efforts and was therefore accepted into Yale due to his scholastic achievements. He also believes that women should be treated gently, and will be seriously committed to the girl that he has the honour of falling in love with.

Personality: Tsukiko is a wild spitfire at heart. She doesn’t abide by the rules of society, and likes to stand out on her own. Her excitement comes from putting herself in rather risky situations just for the fun of it. She is a little bit of a tomboy, and doesn’t like to be told what to do. But she does have a soft side that shows itself often, and she likes to take care of her friends and family. 
Bio: Tsukiko is the daughter of a corporate lawyer, but has not inherited any of her father’s calculating calmness. Her mother inititally traveled back and forth between Atlantis and land. However, Tsuki soon convinced her that she could take care of herself on her own. She visits her parents in Iceland often, often on every full moon that she could manage, so they can be reunited.

Having been left out of touch with her own kind, her ‘parents’ decided to release her back into the water to start a life of her own in Atlantis. Allegra still wishes to find her true parents, though has given up on the thought long ago.

Personality: Iblic is a solitary type. While he enjoys the company of others, he usually ends up going his own way; alone. Iblic has a relative dislike for large amounts of water, seeing as he is a terrible swimmer. On the inside, past the hard outter shell, he is a kind and caring person.
Bio: Iblic grew up in an Oasis in a land that rarely received water in the form of rain. His village is still very primitive with a large portion of the food there coming from hunting. Iblic was trained to be a hunter/warrior, but he left his village before he was of age. He had never seen a large body of water until he was seventeen and, truthfully, the idea of so much water scared him. He has never tried to swim a long distance, though he was persuaded to get in water for a minute or two. Iblic eventually made his way to the United States by boat, to his dismay. The boat landed in Florida and Iblic plans on making his way to Mexico.

When she was young she preferred to stay indoors in her father’s large suburban home and read, often for hours at a time. Her mother, unfortunately, died of complications resulting from childbirth two years after she was born. Although she loves her father dearly, Ciel did not want him to be lonely. When he fell in love with a Korean fashion designer, Ciel left for Atlantis. She hasn’t returned to her father since, but does miss him terribly.

Swimming high above the buildings within Atlantis, Cordelia headed towards one of the exits. Like the rest, it was carved into solid rock, providing protection from the human race & thanks to the sunshine hitting the surface of the ocean above, it shone a light blue hue. It illuminated the fallen, intelligent city whilst daytime still resumed, only to last until nighttime fell & the advanced lighting could have their turn.

Finally outside, Cordelia giggled & twirled happily before swimming towards a shore that she had never visited before. In her hands, she held a medium-sized, black bag made out of a material similar to silk but stronger than anything else. It was made for her, an Explorer or Wanderer, & her everyday activities. It was completely empty inside if the notebook & writing utensil were to excluded.

With grins on their faces, Brennan & his group of friends drove towards one of Florida’s many beaches. The day was perfect for a little get away to the waters & they all took full advantage of it, especially with girlfriends in their arms—except for Brennan, who could basically have any girl on campus, but decided that he was too tired to deal with any drama that one of the women might bring.

A few moments later, after the convertible was put on park, they all hopped off & began walking on the hot, soft sand. It took them a while, but their favorite spot was finally reached. “Finally! You have no idea how badly I want to swim,” Brennan commented as he took off his shirt & sandals. However, before he could make it, one of his buddies’ girlfriends pulled him down onto a towel & demanded that he let her put on sunscreen… she paid no attention to her bothered boyfriend’s glance or the fact that Brennan had already put on sunscreen.

Iblic didn’t like the look of the big city so he avoided it as much as possible. The alternative to the big city wasn’t much better, though. The ocean stared ominously at him as he sat on a beach. The beach had been completely vacant until some kids pulled up further down the beach. They laughed loudly and it almost annoyed him. They were your average teenage Americans and for some reason they disgusted Iblic. They had too much at the price of free.

Iblic was wearing a heavy woolen cloak and had pulled the hood up to hide his face. His arms were around his knees; showing off his dark skin. It was rather obvious that he wasn’t from around here. His clothes were a century out of fashion on the wrong continent, but he didn’t care. He was considered beautiful by his people and that was all he cared about. He planned on making his way back to his village in a year or two and settle down with a family. This trip was pure soul searching.
