So first I have to say, I’ve never done an Inuyasha RP before, but here goes! I’m guessing the storyline can be whatever, so I’m going with an AU in Feudal Japan. How does that sound? Let’s all just steal a character from the show (I have a list below) and then start at it. I’ll make a character sheet and we can begin! Remember, this is an AU so it doesn’t have to be exactly like the anime ^^ however, follow the character’s personality traits (i.e. Inuyasha is very protective over the ones he loves though he may have a hard time showing it)
Character:
Age:
Bio: (Short summary of what has happened in their life)
Personality: (Just so you can throw your favorite main points in)
Demon: (Not/Half/Full - It’s now yours to choose)
InuYasha
Kagome Higurashi
Miroku
Sango
Kikyo
Sesshomaru
Naraku
Kagura
Kanna
Muso
The Infant
Hakudoshi
Byakuya
Character: Bankotsu
Age: 22
Bio: I’ll come up with something later xD
Per: He has honor and compassion for his friends and won’t forgive anyone if they mess with them. Betray him and you die.
Demon: Not
I’ll be taking Sesshoumaru! (:
And if we are allowed OCs, I want to use one too.
If not then that’s alright too. —
Character: Sesshoumaru
Age: 500 (I think he appears around the age of 23 in human years.)
Bio: The eldest son of Inu no Taishou, Sesshoumaru has always respected his father, but detested him for staining his honour for the life of a mortal. Inuyasha, the child of that unusual marriage, holds the key to this powerful youkai’s discontempt as he possesses the sword Tetsaiga- formed from one of Inu no Taishou’s fangs.
Personality: Powerful and unattainable as the majestic clouds that float high up in the sky, Sesshoumaru is a merciless demon whose golden orbs are the very sights of death for those that dare displease this powerful Lord of the Western Land. However, he has been known to show occasional hints of mercy throughout his life, although that does not appear to happen very often.
Demon: Full
Character: Mikomi
Age: Five-hundred
Bio: Mikomi’s parents were killed while she was an infant, and before she herself died in the flames within her village, Lord Karumaru of the Northern Lands rescued her and raised her as his daughter. It was a long and difficult debate between him and the other lords to allow her to become his hire, but it was time worth spent nonetheless.
Personality: Mikomi is stubborn, a little reckless, and likes to push herself over the limit. She wants to prove the high-class demons that she is just as strong, and that where she came from does not define her status.
Demon: Half dog, half fox. Although she is full demon, the mix between the two makes her incredibly weaker. She does not have a “true form” or carry any powers such as poison or fire. Some mistake her as a half-demon because of her dog ears and fox tail.
Appearance: The Sweet Scent of Tiger Lily
Character: Kikyo
Age: Eighteen
Bio: Kikyo attended Yokai Taijiya, a school for priestesses. There, she met Tsubaki, who would later become a dark priestess. Kikyo’s great spiritual power and purity became well known, and thus the Jewel of Four Souls was entrusted to her, much to Tsubaki’s dismay. It became Kikyo’s duty to spend her life guarding the Shikon no Tama, protecting it from the wicked humans and demons who sought it for their own selfish means. (Taken from Kikyo’s wiki profile. Yes I’m that lazy. xD )
Personality: Strong, powerful, kind, loves children.
Demon: Not.
Name: Kasumi
Age: 500 (appears around 21 in human years)
Biography: Kasumi is the younger twin sister of the powerful taiyoukai Sesshoumaru, Lord of the Western Lands. Due to her affliation with demonic royalty, Kasumi holds a special bond with Mikomi, Lady of the Northern Lands, as she had taken a liking to the demoness from an early time. She is indifferent towards her half-brother Inuyasha, and appears apathetic about his well-being. However, she has been known to defend him against Naraku at certain times, when matters influenced the title of her family honour. She holds her older brother with high regard, and is his close companion. Sources close to them suggest that the twins may be incestrous in their relationship.
Appearance: Silver royalty crowns me queen
I hope it’s okay that I start, I began writing something for myself, but I thought I should go ahead and use it for this rp. It takes the series into a different direction…so, forgive me if you need to fix your profiles. xD Also, sorry about the additional characters!
On the seventh night of the great battle between Midoriko and Magatsuhi, the powerful miko forced out the youkai’s soul and her own in one final attempt to defeat him. However, the two souls combined to create the Shikon no Tama. From then on, they were imprisoned and were forced to battle each other forever; unable to pass on. It is said the jewel carries great power, and whoever possesses it can do whatever they wish. The monks that came upon this jewel knew immediately that in the wrong hands, it could become tainted and may even destroy all of Japan.
A priestess named Kikyo became very well known for her great spiritual power and purity, thus the Shikon no Tama became entrusted to her. However, her duty as the jewel’s protector also meant she could not show any signs of weakness; something every human should have a right to do.
Since the birth of the Shikon no Tama, chaos roamed the lands of Japan. Demons and humans alike sought to possess it, and they will kill anyone that gets in their way. At some point, a very large group of demons and bandits attacked Kikyo’s home village. It became difficult to fight alone, and so the villagers and even her younger sister Kaede would assist. Unfortunately, on one fateful day Kaede lost her right eye due to too many demons attacking at once. After the incident, Kikyo requested that she protect the jewel on her own. Having heard this news, Lord Karumaru of the Northern Lands decided to bring this up to the other lords and discuss what must be done to ensure the jewel remain untouched, and the miko unharmed.
“Lord Karumaru,” Lord Akira of the East addressed. “Why not bring the jewel to one of our kingdoms for protection?”
“Because then our lands would be in danger my friend,” the fox youkai replied in a patient manner. “However since the miko’s village resides in the West, it is Lord Touken,” he looked over to the Great Dog Demon, “that encounters the most problems. We need to send one of our own to protect the lands, the miko, and most of all, the Jewel of Four Souls.”
He glanced at the three lords before continuing, “At first I wished to suggest that Sesshomaru could handle it quite well, but…” He looked to Lord Touken again, and the inuyoukai shook his head. “It seems he is apathetic about the whole situation.”
“Then, who?” Hitoshiru of the South asked. On his forehead was a red stretched diamond with curved sides; a symbol of his royalty much like Sesshomaru’s crescent, and also a symbol of his race: red-crowned crane demon.
“Well my daughter finished her training months ago-“
“Absurd!” Lord Akira exclaimed. The nekoyoukai had always detested Karumaru’s adopted daughter; she was not of royal blood, but due to several circumstances, he was outvoted during their debate that took place many years ago to allow her to become the Lady of the North. Not only was she born a peasant, but she was also a damn hybrid; a dog and fox demon.
“Come now old friend,” Hitoshiru attempted to sway. “She would make a fine protector. The priestess handled herself for this long, so surely a demon trained by Lord Karumaru and Lord Touken could take care of this dilemma.”
Akira hissed through his teeth in frustration. On a positive note, he wouldn’t see very much of the brat if she were forced to stay in a human village. Not to mention how much hatred would be directed toward her the second she would arrive. Suddenly, the male didn’t think it was such a bad idea. “Very well,” he agreed.
Lord Karumaru stared in surprise by how quick the other lord gave in, but was happy nonetheless. “Well then,” he said as he stood from his throne. The other lords followed suit. “Gentlemen, it was nice to see you as always.” He bowed to them respectfully; his fiery red hair rested beside his cheek as it hung from its usual high ponytail. He straightened his posture and waited as the lords exited the room, before he exited as well and immediately went to seek out his daughter.
(Lord Touken is InuTaisho, I thought that he should have a name.)
The male found her in a field of tiger lilies; the very scent that defines her. She had a fully bloomed one held by a clip in her wavy, dark brown hair. He smiled at the sight of her holding more flowers in her arm as she searched for more. She picked fresh ones every day for him; she had done so ever since she was a child. The first time she had, he told her that those flowers reminded him of her scent. Seemingly lost in her own world, the lord cleared his throat. The female’s canine ears on top of her head flickered and she turned toward him with a smile; her dark fox tail swayed in happiness behind her. She looked to him with her silver eyes and said cheerfully, “Good evening father.”
“Indeed it is Mikomi. I bring news for you,” he replied as he approached her. He scooped the bouquet of lilies from her arm and inhaled their scent for a moment. “These are lovely,” he stated.
“What news?” she questioned; forgetting his remark on her carefully picked flowers.
“As you may have heard, the miko that protects the Shikon no Tama has recently refused any help from the men in her village.”
“I’ve heard,” she replied in anxious tone. She wished to know what was so important that needed to be said to her now.
With a confident smile, Karumaru finally revealed the information. Mikomi stared at him in shock and waited for him to pause, but he never did. He spoke of how great he believed she’ll be, but she could only think of the trouble this may cause. When he finally ceased his banter, he allowed her to say something.
“Priestesses despise demons,” the female said.
Karumaru had thought of this. “She doesn’t have to like you, and you don’t have to like her. Just keep her and the jewel out of harm’s way.”
Character: Abe no Naito
Age: 23( Real age is 57 )
Bio: He was born into a comfortable middle class family, his mother, Kuzunoha was a fox spirit. She left him once he discovered her nature but not without embuing him with powerful magic and the ability to understand animals.
Personality: Quiet, but clever. Kind to his comrades, ruthless to his enemies.
Demon: half fox http://i184.photobucket.com/albums/x239/glennsho/AbenoSeimeibyGenzo.jpg
The evening winds blossomed calmly across the lush green fields of the Western Empire, gently pushing the strands of grass aside as the sun dipped its delicate feet at the edge of the sky. The land was covered in a thick blanket of bright orange and pinks, hung triumphly across the clouds as if banners of great victory. Leaves rustled about, harmonizing their voices with the sparrows’ song.
Sesshoumaru stood at the edges of a forest upon a clifftop, where a roaring waterfall thundered down angrily at the rapids below. The air was surrounded by a coat of thin fog and water droplets, damping the silk of his haroi.
There was the sound of travel in the far distance. They passed by indifferently. Lord Touken was on his way home from a conference meeting in the Northern Lands.
His golden orbs, merciless and indifferent, rested on the figure of a female youkai a few thousand feet below, who was, at this moment, tentively wetting her feet in the cool water.
That would be nice actually, I’ll find a place to jump in.
IC: And there stood behind Sesshomaru, a man who had long black hair, a young man’s face and a kimono with a hakama. His ebony eyes scanned Sesshomaru for a second before he smiled.“Lord Sesshoumaru, this is a nice place to see you..taking in the scenery?”
The inuyoukai had noticed the being who had been there for some time. He gave no response to Naito’s attempt at conversation, and chose to avert his gaze to a majestic eagle that flew in the treetops.
Silence settled between the two males comfortably, filling in the gaps of words and language. The only sounds audible were the water, and the movements of the female youkai’s slender body as she submerged herself deeper into the water.
Kasumi raised her head to look at the sky above, where magical colours were blooming to their full. She reached up to the two silver buns, neatly settled on the top of her head, and pulled at the dark flower-strands which secured them in their form.
Mikomi watched as the two servants before her loaded the box with her change of clothes onto the rear of the cart. She resisted the urge to sigh when Karumaru placed his hand onto her shoulder supportively; she knew that he was proud of her for going through with this. Her escort nodded to her when everything was ready and she approached the cart. “I don’t see why I have to ride with my things; I could get there much faster on foot.”
“You don’t want your clothes to get stolen, do you?” Lord Karumaru questioned jokingly. “I’m almost sure that you’ll run into bandits on the way. Try not to kill them.”
The female rolled her eyes and boarded the front of the cart beside her escort. He adjusted the reigns in his hands. “I know, I won’t win the village over by killing humans,” she stated lethargically. The escort clicked his tongue and the horses moved forward. The hybrid looked over her shoulder at her father and he smiled at her; waving his hand goodbye.
Finally, Mikomi released a sigh and stared forward.
