Just wondering why a lot of people hate Kikyou for? Yes she tried to kill InuYasha before, got in the way of InuYasha and Kagome’s relationship but seriously other than those reason why does people dislike her so much?

I do admit she isn’t my favorite character but i don’t hate nor dislike her but i really don’t hate her because of the two most common reason why people say to hate her.

Now i do ask if you give a reason to not sit there and say “Shes a clay pot whore” - “She ruins things with InuYasha and Kagome” - or anything of the sort PLEASE i’m begging you give a good enough reason why.

Well she wasn’t a very likable character from the start. But I do like her…though I think there is a reason why people don’t.

Kikyo was a selfish woman when she was alive. I don’t think she really loved Inuyasha, I think she loved the idea of becoming an ordinary woman. Kikyo didn’t want to guard the jewel anymore, and Inuyasha didn’t want to be a half-demon anymore. She figured that if Inuyasha turned himself human with the jewel, she wouldn’t have to be a priestess any longer. Sure, she would have probably married Inuyasha, but did she truly love him? Not likely. It’s in her nature to despise any demon creature. If she loved Inuyasha for who he was, she would have wanted him to be himself; a half-demon.

Yeah after thinking about it i do see why you say that. Kikyou isn’t the type to show love to people other than the ones that she is helping. But one thing i do give her credit for is helping with InuYasha and his friends here and there

Yeah and she does become likable by the end of the manga.

Yes, I did despise Kikyo at one point and grew to like her a little more towards the end of the manga. She only showed her true compassion at the VERY end. I used to see her as a emotionless zombie who cared for nothing but herself and stole the souls of people. When her only true intention was to become ordinary =_=

Actually, I never saw her show true emotion for Inuyasha. =_= Sorry Inuyasha but those kisses were LIES!!!

FYI I still hold no grudge against her. I an simply neutral to her character ^_^
