Cecil had been quick to get home in order to keep herself from the sun as much as she could. It was a real feat to stay put under the sun for more than fifteen minutes without getting a feeling that her molecules were being torn apart with the sun’s awful rays. She could already feel the potent rays embracing her skin in the least dastardly manner. “Blast this weather!” she retorted to herself, as she reached into her pockets to look for the key that she had hidden in their depths before leaving. After a couple of seconds of rummaging through all the rubbish in them, she finally found the warm piece of metal that would grant her entrance to her abode.
Once she took her first step into her home, she was glad of how cool it felt. ‘But how odd…’ she mused. It couldn’t possibly be this cool… “OH…!” she swiftly ran toward the back room in the house- her bedroom. Cecil could really only hope that she had not left her air conditioner turned on while she was gone.
