“What do you mean?” Kagome asked. “I know my time isn’t perfect but…are you saying it gets much worse?”
Mikomi looked over at Kagome curiously. Were humans still cruel to one another in her time? She would have to question the miko later. Still, something didn’t add up and she had many questions for the half demon. “Perhaps we should return to the village and assure the humans that they are safe for now,” she suggested; thinking of others before herself.
“That’s a good idea, Miroku might be worried,” Sango said. She picked up her Hiraikotsu and ran off towards the village by herself.

Astral knew he had said too much. He couldn’t reveal much of his time, for it could change thing drastically for that era. After hearing the hybrid’s suggestion, the hanyou took a step back. “I must decline..” he said in a polite tone. “I cannot interact more than I have. It might change things and I could jeopordize my mission.”
“No, you are going..” Shishana demanded, growling towards the hanyou. She wanted to know more, and she would revert to violence if she had to in order to get the information she wanted. Seeing the seriousness in her, Astral released a sigh as he nodded. “As you wish..”

Mikomi smirked at her friend Shishana before she also turned toward the village, only she leaped through the air and hopped from tree to tree to gain speed. InuYasha sheathed Tetsusaiga, picked up Kagome and followed behind. The three of them arrived to find Miroku and Sango reunited along with their children. The hybrid smiled faintly at the sight; she wanted a family of her own someday. However, she was still grieving over the loss of her only family which caused her to frown.

Shishana remained behind to ensure their guest would follow. Astral released a sigh before he too followed, running passed the trees with ease, the tigeress on his tail. The two arrived mere seconds after the others, Shishana keeping a close eye on the hanyou. If not for her curiousity, she would have left after the demons had vanished. She brushed the dirt from her kimono before standing beside her good friend Mikomi. The hanyou, however, seemed out of place, he wondered what questions he would be forced to answer.

The female glanced at Shishana and then at the half demon. She wondered what it was that sat on the bridge of his nose and in front of his eyes. She furrowed her eyebrows and looked away before she walked over to the closest hut and peaked through a window, to find a mother and her children cowering in the corner. “The village is safe,” she assured them. She watched as they walked outside and went off to tell their neighbors. “Kagome,” Mikomi called. She waited for the miko to approach her, and the hybrid lowered her voice before she spoke. “Can his weapon kill daiyoukai with ease?” she questioned.
Kagome bit her lower lip and replied, “I think so, Mikomi-sama.”

Seeing the villagers come one by one from their huts, Shishana knew the scent of humans would flood her senses more than they already were. She didn’t mind humans much, but their scent did make her a bit nautious. “Can we get down to business?” she questioned. “i still have matters to attend to in the west.” The tigeress released a sigh before moving over to the shade of a sakura tree, sitting herself at the base of the trunk.
“Alright, what is it, you wish to know?” Astral questioned, growing quite bored after the action from the battle.

The hybrid took notice that Shishana wanted to speed things up, and so she nodded to the miko before she walked over to stand beside the tiger demon. She folded her arms over her chest and looked at Astral, and then she asked, “What do you wish to accomplish here?”
Miroku and Sango kindly shushed their children so that they too, could hear. InuYasha had leaned himself against a tree with his arms through his sleeves, his head tilted down and his eyes closed. Everyone knew that he was listening, though.

Astral knew he was the center of attention, he kind of liked it. He simply shrugged his shoulders, leaned against the tree behind him and placed his hands behind his head in a lazy manner. “I’ve told you this already. I was suppose to show up years ago, but my machine malfunctioned. And now I’m stuck here.” he answered truthfully, not wanting to be this group’s enemy. “The machine works two different ways. It takes its’ user to the programmed time, or to the time the heart desires.” The hanyou was looking up as he spoke, but his eyes focused on the hybrid when he finished talking. Astral figured he ended up at this time cause he desired to meet Mikomi, having found much respect for her through the stories he read about that era.
Shishana frowned, she could sense there was something this man wasn’t telling them. Was his true intention to come back to slay Naraku? Was that half demon the true reason the future is horrible? No.. The pathetic hanyou is dead, so the future shouldn’t be so grim, right? But still, something about Astral didn’t settle well with the tigeress.

As if Mikomi had read the Western Lady’s mind, she said, “But Naraku is dead.” She unfolded her arms and took a few steps toward the male. “So why would your future be so daunting?” she questioned. His facts didn’t add up, even she knew that. She could tell that Kagome was trying to calculate the things in her mind and coming to the same conclusion as she: something was not right.

“Before the bastard died, he left something, an offspring of some sort.” he quickly spoke, revealing part of his true mission. Astral stood up straight, though one hand remained on the back of his neck, in case he needed to draw his weapon. His hazel eyes remained fixated on the hybrid, he studied her body language, trying to predict her next moves.
After hearing his words, Shishana’s ears shot up. The bastard had left an offspring. “You mean he consorted with a female?” she questioned, wondering what kind of woman would go with a man like that. Then again, he did pose as a human lord for some time when Sango had first met him. Perhaps he did the same to concieve a child. With a growl, Shishana stood and took a few steps to her right, sitting still was not her favorite thing to do.

“Keh, so you’re saying his brat will be just as powerful as he was?” InuYasha asked; finally engaging in the conversation. Mikomi took a glance at him and noticed that he didn’t even look up. But she wondered the same thing. Will this offspring of Naraku’s be just as powerful? If it were so, she wasn’t entirely sure how to handle it. She assisted InuYasha and the others to kill Naraku to avenge her father, and now it seems the job was not even finished. At that thought, her ears flattened to her head.

He drew his weapon from his back, holding it in front of his chest. “The reason I’m here. To kill the son of a bitch before he grows up.” he stated in a serious tone. Astral knew his mission meant he had to kill an innocent child, or perhaps the mother whom hasn’t given birth yet, he wasn’t exactly sure. Hell he wasn’t sure if he had the right year. He could be 20 years too soon and not know it, for no records showed the date the “Ruler” was born. In fact, he wasn’t even sure if the guy was an offspring of Naraku. He just said so to make sure that he remained in good graces with the group.
Seeing he had his weapon drawn, Shishana placed a hand to the hilt of her sword. “Dont test my patience half demon..” she growled, her nature of being a full demon showing. She didn’t want another fight so soon, and with a hanyou of which they knew nothing about. Luckily, Astral put his weapon away.

Mikomi took a quick and cautious step back when the hanyou drew his weapon. She glanced over at Shishana as she spoke and felt a strong sense of relief when Astral put the dangerous object away. She didn’t like the fact that he had a weapon she couldn’t understand. She didn’t know how to defend herself against it. The thought of it made her take another step back.

“Now, if you are through interrogating me, I’ll take my leave.” Astral spoke in a polite tone. He wanted to put some distance between himself and all of them he didn’t want to harm any of them, for they were important in the history books. After he cleared his throat, he turned and began to walk away. Shishana saw this, and made no attempt to stop him, for she had lost interest.

The female locked on the hanyou’s scent before she sighed deeply. She then turned to her friend and asked, “I suppose you’ll return to the West?” Her ears flickered curiously.
Kagome walked up to InuYasha and touched his arm, which made him stand up straight and look at her. “We’re not just going to let him go, are we?” she asked.
“Keh, let him get himself killed if he wants,” he replied. “He could draw out this so called ‘offspring’ and then we can kill it ourselves.”
